What is Cargo Insurance?

Cargo insurance protects the value of goods in transit against loss, damage, or theft. Coverage can be all-risk, named-perils, or warehouse-to-warehouse, and is typically priced as a percentage of insured value. Importers can buy cargo insurance through brokers, forwarders, or directly from insurers.
